Welcome to Dolphins Dance on beautiful Cape San Blas, Florida Cape San Blas and Port St. Joe
|
Here are some more pictures of beautiful Barrier Dunes and the area on Cape San Blas. When you stay here, send me some pictures - I would be happy to put them up on my website! Cape San Blas is west facing and you will be able to enjoy spectacular sunsets. Cape San Blas is not only the number one rated beach in the USA, but it is the most pet friendly too! Dogs can run free on the beach! Sam is enjoying the sun, sand and surf. He has been coming to Cape San Blas for many years! A close up of Sam on the beach. The water is warm and the sand is fine and easy for everyone to walk on. Sometimes clouds make for the best sunsets on Cape San Blas! The gulf side pool is one of the best place to enjoy the Cape, during the day and especially in the evening at sunset time. The pool is wheelchair accessible.
Butterfly in foliage. Fall is the season for butterfly migration. When we visited the Cape in October there were butterflies everywhere! It was really magical!
This shot shows one of the boardwalk accesses through the protective barrier dunes to the beach. Barrier Dunes has three boardwalks down to the beach.
The end of the Cape. Seven miles of unspoiled beach from Barrier Dunes (St. Joseph Peninsula State Park). The park has trails and a boat launch. Dogs are welcome in the park. Bicycling is an excellent way to explore the park. Cape San Blas is famous for miles of pristine, uncrowded fine white sand beaches.
Barrier Dunes children's playground. You can walk for miles along the beautiful white sand beaches of Cape San Blas. Dogs love the beach too! View of the Barrier Dunes lighted tennis courts. The second pool is in the upper right part of the picture.
Kids of all ages enjoy the sand and the surf at Cape San Blas. The water is shallow for a good ways out making it ideal for kids and dogs.
Barrier Dunes is a safe gated community. It is ideal for families and people travelling with pets. There's lots to do for every age group though!
I call this brooding sunset. Clouds make for interesting sunsets. Let me know if you ever see the Green Flash - I never have.
St. Joseph Peninsula State Park takes up the last half of Cape San Blas. Barrier Dunes is about 1000 feet from the park entrance. The park is a great place to view wildlife such as this white tailed deer.
Bear and Peanut enjoying the sun, sand and surf of Cape San Blas beach.
This dog looks like he's asking to come back to Cape San Blas next year!
The back bay between Cape San Blas and the mainland is full of wildlife viewing and birdwatching opportunities. The best way to see them is by boat, canoe or kayak. Another Cape San Blas sunset. This tire is in the lake behind Dolphins Dance. It makes a great swim platform for baby turtles! Put yourself in the picture . . .
