The gulf side pool is one of the best place to enjoy the Cape, during the day and especially in the evening at sunset time. The pool is wheelchair accessible.

Butterfly in foliage. Fall is the season for butterfly migration. When we visited the Cape in October there were butterflies everywhere! It was really magical!

Kids of all ages enjoy the sand and the surf at Cape San Blas. The water is shallow for a good ways out making it ideal for kids and dogs.

Barrier Dunes is a safe gated community. It is ideal for families and people travelling with pets. There's lots to do for every age group though!

St. Joseph Peninsula State Park takes up the last half of Cape San Blas. Barrier Dunes is about 1000 feet from the park entrance. The park is a great place to view wildlife such as this white tailed deer.

The back bay between Cape San Blas and the mainland is full of wildlife viewing and birdwatching opportunities. The best way to see them is by boat, canoe or kayak.
